Privacy Policy
Derek Elder ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website you agree to the practices described here.
Derek Elder is the data controller for the personal information you share through this website. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Personal and Non-Personal Information
We collect two types of information. Personal information is anything that identifies you, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the answers you give in our application form. Non-personal information does not identify you, such as your browser type, device, and the pages you visit.
What is Non-Personal Information and How is it Collected and Used?
When you visit this website, some information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring website, and the pages you view and for how long. We use this information to understand how visitors use the website, fix problems, and improve the content and experience. It is not used to identify you personally.
Are Cookies or Other Technologies Used to Collect Personal Information?
Yes. This website uses cookies and similar technologies, such as tracking pixels, to make the website work properly, remember you as you move between pages, understand how the website is used, and measure the performance of any advertising we run, including on Facebook and Instagram.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website work.
How Does Derek Elder Use Personal Information?
We use your personal information to:
Give you access to the video and content you requested.
Review your Breakthrough Call application and prepare for your call.
Book, confirm, remind you about, and reschedule your call.
Respond to your questions and enquiries.
Send you occasional emails about our coaching, where you have agreed to this.
Meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Some application answers may include information about how you are feeling, such as stress, anxiety, or self doubt. You never have to share anything you are not comfortable sharing. Where you choose to share it, we use it only to prepare for and hold your call, and we rely on your explicit consent to do so.
Under UK data protection law, we process your information on the basis of your consent, our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and running our business, the performance of a contract where you become a client, and our legal obligations.
We keep enquiry and application information for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for up to 6 years after our work together ends, for legal and accounting purposes.

We may also disclose your information where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How is Personal Information Used for Communications?
We may contact you by email, phone, or text message about your enquiry, application, and booking, including confirmations and reminders. If you give us your phone number and agree to receive text messages, some messages may be sent automatically. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

How is Personal Information Secured?
We use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
